Nurse from China to America

Nurse from China to America?
I have a cousin in China who is looking at becoming a nurse as a profession. However, what must be done to become a registered nurse in the United States, assuming she can get permission to come? If she becomes a registered nurse in China and comes to the US, what will she have to do in order to become a registered nurse in the US? If she is in the middle of schooling for this profession and transfers to a school in the US, what must she do? Or, to answer two in one, what is the best way for someone to train to be a nurse in China but become a registered nurse in the US? Will this require going through schooling in the US as well? Serious answers only, please.

She would need to contact the state board of nursing in the state she is planning to relocate to.They can give her all the information she needs. They can tell her about whether she needs to further her education, challenge the boards or what criteria has to be met. Good luck to her.

The degree has to be recognized by the receiving country... If the U.S. recognizes the Chinese degree, sure you can work here...chances are they don't.... International degrees don't transfer well, unless of course it's like, Harvard, Yale, Oxford, Cambridge, University of Toronto, etc
    2 :
Some degrees are transferable, some are not. Some degrees, like nursing, M.D. or dentistry need to be approved first, and then you may need to take some classes and tests to be able to practice in the US. Depending on the career, the process may take from a few months to several years.
    3 :
No. They usually have to go through whatever state they end up in. There are very strict guidelines. Normally it takes time and more classes to get a license. Some may have to go through a whole course again. They also have to get a work visa.
    4 :
If you want to come to the US to work as a nurse, you would have to pass the exams, CGFNS, NCLEX and the English proficiency test IELTS. These are the basic requirements, of course, some states may require more. More than that, your school must already have graduates who were employed in the US. If you are the first graduate of your school to apply, you would have to provide them with all the documentation of your curriculum if it is compliant with the requirements for nursing.

Cash reward - Where can I find out what are some required courses demanded by CGFNS International

Cash reward - Where can I find out what are some required courses demanded by CGFNS International?
alright, to get your attention, if I get a really good answer that lead me to the answer, I'll send you a check for $50. But only for one answer and a really good one. I am planning to establish a nurse education program in China and I need to make sure the curriculum of the program can pass the CGFNS evaluation. I called CGFNS and they said that their evaluation process is secret, but I can figure out what they are evaluating by just looking at the bachelor of science requirement at some major nursing schools. I did, but it's confusing. Does anyone know, or can tell me where I can find out, what are the required curriculum are for the CGFNS certification process? (like what are the required subjects, how many credits are required of each, and how many hours of clinical for each subjects) I need to make sure every course I offer in China adhere to the criteria for CGFNS. Thanks. when a foreign nurse wants to come to the US and work, CGFNS evaluates her school to make sure the school she graduated from conforms with the US stand. CGFNS has a set of standards that they are keeping secret. If the Chinese nursing school does not conform to all the standard, then the nurse who wants to come to the US has to make up the classes. I want to see if I can figure out what all the requirements are so that when I do establish this school, my nurses do not have to make up any courses.

well i really dont know what your asking but you can search the stuff on the internet. Or you can just find someone who works there that is nice enough to tell you. Another idea is that you could first tell them that you are gpoing to establish a nurse education program in china and then maybe they can then give you all the information you need. hopefully this helped you :)
