Can a teacher "disrespect" a student?
I'm a senior. I'm in a nursing/allied health program in HIGH SCHOOL. Meaning that the students taking it are only doing it for the experience, not because they want to be a nurse. There's only 30 allowed in the program but today there's only 29 because one dropped out. And a lot of us do not want to stay in the program but we are obligated to because we've wasted two years just to get to a program where we no longer get respect. I have two problems I kind of want opinions on. 1. My nursing teacher this year is new because our old teacher left because of the school time change. We DEEPLY respect our old teacher, and so I suppose to us, she has really big shoes to fill. But the thing is that it always seems like she hates us. And I'm not exaggerating. She's consistently threatening us to kick us out of the program just because we got into the subject and sidetracked a little. And another thing is that I'm Asian, and I couldn't go to a clinical day that WAS NOT required according to the syllabus. I explained to her the day before why I couldn't go, I had to take care of my brother and sister (10 and 9) . The next day,she called me out in the middle of class and took me aside after class to tell me, "You know what they say, a rotten apple ruins the tree. And Did you ever go to classes in CHINA?!" I took offense to that. But being the person I am, I let it go. But she is still threatening us, and taking the WHOLE ENTIRE class period just to lecture us, and later she would complain about how we never have time. 2. So we switch into our Allied Health class and this teacher has been with us for the last 3 years.And she's pretty nice. I suppose its the stress because we have competitions in 3 weeks. But there's a limit to how it should be handled. We had a meeting after school yesterday, and all students were required to attend. Well, some couldn't make it. Work, siblings, etc. But I did go. But I wasn't feeling well so I went to get something to eat really quick. I came back but the meeting had started. There isn't a specific time for the meeting to start so I thought I had some time. I guess not, I was only 2 minutes late, and missed my name being called. THAT'S IT. That's all I missed. I was going to apologize for being late but she did a 360 and started yelling at me. I tried to explain myself, but she just literally FORCED words into my mouth. This is how the conversation went between me and her the next day.. Teacher: "(my name), did you go to the meeting?" Me : "Yes, I did, but I was tardy(idk why I said tardy)." T: "Well, you missed the meeting." M: "No I didn't. I was there. I only missed my name being called. " T: "YOU MISSED THE MEETING." M: "But Miss, I only....." T: "No, You missed the meeting. ......(My name) You missed the meeting, didnt you?" Me: (I'm really really frustrated at this point.) ...Yes Miss. I missed the meeting. T : "Now, I want a note from your parents saying why you were late to the meeting" Me: ".......(walk away)" T: "(Talking to the nursing teacher)...I feel like I'm playing Judge Judy today. " And the other teacher's laughs. I'm respectful enough to just blow it off, where other students are trying to defend themselves. So what should I do? I told my parents, but they really don't give a shit. They actually send, I agree. Sorry about my dramatic-ness. xD; I'm just really pissed off. I have almost everyone behind me on this. Even the people i hate. But we dont want to get kicked out so yeahh.

talk to the councelor or principal of your school. try to talk to the teacher and tell her how badly you feel she treats u. or............. tell your parents and have them talk to her

ouchie o-o'' that's one heck of a problem,and kind of dramatic e_o but in my opinion, it not just the teacher. ur old teacher left event causes u too hate the teacher double time's and have the feeling of uhh sooo wut my answer... BEAT HER UPP JK JK i can understand wut is ur pain, but there are many school in the world where students get beaten up just cuz their homework is not done..fortunately they get through or some lucky like me goes off somewhere better then that school for now keep it cool, do u believe in god? pray anything u want to him/her.like i want her to get killed or plzzz make her beg in front of me or just simple let me get through this situation wait that's now a good answer T_T'' i was saying just keep it cool be patient, get a calender of when is the high school gonna end if she keeps u away from talking say nicely and gently plz let me finish if she still doesnt let u then raise ur voice a little then act like ur still innocent i hope it helps (might not cuz I'm stupid )

In this day of technology I would start to record my classes. The teacher doesn't have to know that she is being recorded. Then just kindly take the recording to the principle and file a grievance against your teacher. You need to speak up a little more, the only reason they talk to you like that is because you let them. There are some tactful ways to deal with teachers. You're a senior now you're almost (if not already) an adult, you need to start standing your ground. Good luck to you.

Talk to your counselor or Principal about this. Your teacher was being disrespectful even more when she humiliated you in front of the other teachers and was making a joke out of it. I have lots of incident in school and I gotta say it takes more guts to walk away then it does to start something. You did do the right thing and I believe if you do go to someone about this that you will not get in trouble nice job blowing it off it was hard, but in the long run it paid off.

Tell her next time it happens again "I don't think it's fair you put words into my mouth" If you don't believe you did anything wrong, you have to fight til the end for what you believe in. Talk to the school principal or whoever has the authority about this teacher's behavior. Do you have people in the class who will back you up, or are they all too chicken to do so? What she said about you was extremely discriminating. I'm an asian too, and you can be sure if I was there, I'd unleash hell.

Why is everyone saying the planning parents funds abortions?
I am a nurse. I work in health care. I can tell you they do not pay for abortions. I'VE seen this with my own eyes. I worked at a clinic. I studied the WHOLE laws of nursing and what pays for what. I did 30 hours a week of school and 200 question quizzes (almost everyday). I graduated nursing with a 4.0 grade average. Well mostly, Bush made us the hated country. First off Bush was putting out more pollution than china when he was in office. Then bush also got our country in debt not from the war but stupidity. All these people sign for expensive houses that was beyond their pay check. The bill later came back to Bush asking if he could allow banks to rip people off like this. What did Bush do he sign the paper. Then Bush also went to war in the middle east looking for Al Qaeda. We go on a goose chase for a group of people that are nomads. So Bush declares war on the middle east. So we go to war and we mess up their tajs. We messt up a country that been in it ways doing things for civilizations and civilizations. The way they eat, dress, look, all of that is based on their religion. Their whole day revolves around praying at noon. Their whole day revolves around eating certain foods. Their whole day revolves around wearing certain clothes. When they fast to pray for their God they wont even drink their spit. They get up and spit in the sink. Now, just because one group of people who live all over the world. Bush says I want to find them.Next thing you know we are at war. We knocked down their Tajs. We Americanized and took over a country that's older than us. The people who lived their whole life there, and the way their ancestors did is now destroyed. Their never going to be peace their now. You cant change a country culture that's been their since Jesus was born. It is a hornets nest that will never sleep. Why is everyone blaming the government shutting down on Obama? FIRST, off Obama did not shut it down congress did which is mostly republicans. The republicans do not want to give money to women who get cancer scans. They say these scans saved million peoples lives who had cancer. They are saying it is about abortions the clinics offer abortions but they still have to pay for the abortions. The clinic that gives feel visits of the gynecologist well not pay for abortions but they do offer it there. They do pay for birth control pills, and pap smears. This saves lives and the birth control helps save the country money. I think a ten dollar pills are way cheaper than the government paying for a kid till he is 18 years old. THEY DONT EVEN PAY FOR ABORTIONS AT THE CLINICS. I work in health care. I just wish everyone could see, if you cut this program the pregnancy rates will go up. So many people in poor areas need to be educated in health care. The planning parents helps teach and educate them. It also, helps them learn about diseases how they are spread. It gives care to women who have cancer. A young teen girl sometimes can not afford insurance. If she gets cancer is it fair that she does not have the chance to live? All because she was born into a poor family.

Why do Americans get upset about Jobs going overseas
Why do Americans get upset about Jobs going overseas?
Why would Americans get angry about businesses going overseas? I have never heard anyone say they dream about having a career working in a call Center or Textile factory. The same goes for illegal immigrants. The jobs that are leaving the usa or taken by illegals are ones I would only take if i was desperate. I do not want to work in Factories, Construction sites, cleaning up after people, Nursing, medicine, agriculture, machine shops or fixing cars. If it was me and all the jobs were leaving the USA for China. I would simply pick up and move to China. it is dream for me to live and work in foreign nations. I would work in a sweat shop in China for free as long as i had housing just to have the opportunity to go to China and Its Communist paradise.

actually there are many careers in textiles that Americans go to college to get....engineering, chemistry, and all kinds of careers are associated with the outsourced jobs. Many Americans went to school to be machine operators that witnessed their jobs move overseas. Will you apply the same logic when Pharma-corporations start moving medicine manufacturing overseas that employs biologists, microbiologists, chemists and engineers? I would work in a Factory but I would also ask for a livable wage that the Company knows the sweat shops in Bangladesh will only ask for .50 a day. How do I stay sane with my mom
How do I stay sane with my mom?
In a lack of a better term, my mom is a bitch. Now if you think that Im some spoiled brat who hates his mom because he doesn't get his way, then you're dead wrong. (Sorry for very long post). I'm 2 month's away from turning 16 and I may be going insane. I will move back to my Dad in a few month's but I don't know how much longer Ill last without snapping. My parents are divorced and I just moved to my mom and step dad's house a few month's ago, 2 weeks before school ended. 1st lets start with my current life, I stay at home all day because I have no friends here (I moved to a different state, 2 weeks before school ended- so I didn't make any real friends). I don't get allowance because I did bad in school and I can't find work because Im in the state with the lowest employment rate. So I am essentially a person who sits behind a computer all day because I all my friends are in a different state. My Cat got worms and my step dad didn't want to take him to a vet because it was "too expensive" so he abandoned him, but less than a month later, he bought 2 Iphone 4's for himself and my mom. My mom is rude and impatient. She goes to the bathroom without closing the door and without even turning the fan on so you can hear everything- that's just effing gross. She doesn't like me cooking because I sometimes I make a mess and she yells at me without warning, then I get blamed for stuff my step dad did. She doesn't respect any of my hobbies, while I never say a thing about what she does. Her english is horrible, despite her living in the U.S over 15 years and leaving China forever. She doesn't do anything for her community (aside from her nursing job, but she complains about that too). yet she hates China and doesn't respect other cultures and beliefs. What are my hobbies? well I like an active lifestyle, I love target shooting, throwing knives, camping, hiking etc. I go to the shooting range using my money, while my step dad leeches off me, using my handgun and making me pay for the range fee and my ammo. yes, I have a handgun- its technically my dads but he entrusts it too me (He transfered ownership to my stepdad when I moved). I would go shooting, if I could get a job and make the money- but thats not gonna happen. I just wanna get the hell out of here, and this experience made me realise how awsome my real dad was. I need to know how to deal with all this bs...

Actually they are not trying to be tough to make you responsible- they are tricking you. Hurting people hurt others. It's not you.. They are the ones who have a problem. Abuse is anything and words that are not uplifting. So forget what truth is being used right then. Remember -THEY actually get high on being mean, and thats why they do it, they are wrong about everything. So the parent becomes abusive and the children get sick with so called mental Illnesses- painful but not disorders, but it can be stopped. You dont have a problem its them. Psychiatrists commit fraud in that there is zero science in what they do. They do not draw blood to test for imbalances. For chemical imbalances no test exists. There is no conception of what a correct chemical balance would look like to date. People in the FDA agree. Remember, after abuse sickness can be a spiritual problem - Jesus name is needed to banish what is there. God wants you to know truth, forgive, and get away from them. So the parent becomes abusive and the children get sick with so called mental Illnesses- painful but not disorders, but it can be stopped. You dont have a problem its them. Psychiatrists commit fraud in that there is zero science in what they do. They do not draw blood to test for imbalances. For chemical imbalances no test exists. There is no conception of what a correct chemical balance would look like to date. People in the FDA agree. Remember, after abuse sickness can be a spiritual problem - Jesus name is needed to banish what is there. God wants you to know truth, forgive, and get away from them.
