was given a wooden plate to eat from, less he drop and break the china? He was not treated mean but not with any great respect that he deserved. Then later on ( I believe it was a live play on "Playhouse Theater") he was moved to a nursing home for the son's convenience, and then at the very end line the granddaughter who loved her old grandfather was asked why she is keeping his old wooden diner plate, replied that "someday Dad, you will need it" and that hit the dad right where it hurts Maybe it is a good thing that old people tend to forget a lot, and forgive a lot also!
