Who is more capable of helping on a massive scale a county that has undergone a disaster of epic proportion?
A capitalist free enterprise system or a communist state where the people are little more than slaves? How much aid and how many doctors, nurses and hospital ships is China sending to Haiti on a massive scale? Or Cuba, or Venezuela?

Help is help. Cuba has already sent doctors and other aid. I don't like their political system either, but if it saves a few lives in this situation, what's the argument?
2 :
all of Cuba's doctors are in Venezuela in exchange for Oil, so I guess China

Why must America get involved and "out-aid" other countries, as it were? Not that I'm against helping Haiti, just don't really understand your partisan hackery I guess.

Free market is what our economy is based on and it works. Those that praise socialism either will be a part of the ruling class when the dust settles OR are too stupid to realize they're a pawn in their leaders quests for domination.

Whoever has the will and the means to do it regardless anything else you mentioned

which capitalist free enterprise system is sending help? you guys say the U.S. is already deep in socialism and has been since the new deal... so, I guess that's a win for communism, since I see no free enterprise system stepping up...

Both are perfectly capable. Yesterday, Cuba sent an additional 30 doctors, plus medical supplies, to join the 344 doctors and paramedics it already had working throughout Haiti on humanitarian missions. You could have found that out with a very quick Google search. From China, a 60-strong-member national relief team rushed to the Caribbean country from Beijing Wednesday evening and has arrived in Haiti's capital Port-au-Prince. Why are you politicizing a natural disaster? That's senseless and tasteless.

Your premise is based upon a fanciful and purposeful comparison of apples and oranges. Of course Venezuela and Cuba are dwarfed by the sheer size of the USA. Of course China is thousands of miles away and does not have the naval capacity of the USA due to it only becoming modernized in the last 30 years or so, but don't let such obvious blinders deter you from your pursuit of your favored conclusion..... However, I am proud of the USA's commitment to aid during a time of terrible human tragedy. Stop trying to trivialize such a horrible disaster on this board.

How about the country that has "compassionate conservatives" and that was founded on "Judeo-Christian Values"??

I expect you will see Cuba, Venezuela , China, Russia to send a few people to help , along with a pittance just so they can say they helped, it will be 90% American money that goes to help. Just as it always is.

Neighboring Cuba and Venezuela had aid teams in Haiti the morning after the earthquake, including doctors, engineers, search and rescue specialists, and civil protection officers, as well as urgently needed food, water, medical supplies, and rescue equipment. China is a little farther away. But who's counting? All aid is needed, even if a bigger and richer country can give more.
