... and we spend money on fighting wars with blank checks? 50% of blacks and hispanics drop out of school. We think we should give free heatlhcare to any immigrant and his/her extended family. We all want free nursing home care even if it costs taxpayers $500,000. We want doctors to spend endless sums of money to keep us alive during our last years of life We "have" to make sure every retiree gets has heat, food, and medical care. And, we put a "monkey" on the back of a worker where he has to pay for those things not only for his/her family --- but for the elderly, single moms, illegals, etc. Everyone wants handouts. Yet, we have plenty of people who are no more capable than a poor person in China. Yet, the American expects to live like a king compared to the person in China with about the same education (no college).

No, it's because the idiot administration has sunk us so deep in debt to other countries and weakened the dollar to such an extent that any recovery is a long way off. All the idiocy you refer to is the result of 8 years of inept management.

Liberals programs started in the middle of the 20th century have eroded personal responsibility that built this country to where every one feels they deserve a free handout and where liberals reinforce the notion that nothing is ever an individuals fault, it's always someone else's fault. We were debt free as a nation until these liberal programs started and have been in debt ever since. This country is slowly dieing because liberals are making everyone rely on the government for everything which in turn makes americans very lazy.

Elect a Democratic President and we will be a socialist government. Democrat = More taxes, more handouts. That's what they preach. You now have a Majority of Democrats in Congress, but all they do is sit there and worry about whether or not a baseball player is using steroids. COME ON! You are right! "WE" is the operative word. "WE" keep electing people to Washington that keep giving it all away. If "WE" don't like it, take it to the voting booth and kick the idiots out. But, "WE" need to quit complaining about it unless "WE" are willing to back it up with a vote on election day.

Moody's doesn't care about the social issues. It's because our economy is in the tank. It's because our economy is being floated by financial institutions in Dubai and China. It's because we are spending trillions of dollars on a war that can't be won with no end in sight. It's because our current administration has spent money like drunken sailors for the last 7 years resulting in the biggest deficit we have ever had. Just remember. McCain is the one who says he doesn't know anything about the economy. Vote Dem. The last time we had a balanced budget was when Clinton was in office. Our problems have absolutley nothing to do with anything other than excess spending by the current administration (and NOT on handouts), who by the way, is a GOP pres. and was a GOP house and senate for the majority of the time.

my god.. why do you people keep on whining and crying about handouts.. it is the republican presidents that have bankrupted this country bush and regan have probably spent 3x as much money as all the rest of the presidents in all of history COMBINED.. and bush has NOTHING but debt and ruined country to show for it.. at least regan ended the cold war if that money had been spent on social programs like wind farms .. our country would have free energy forever.. we wouldnt need your damn oil.. or your corporate welfare war in iraq.. the problem is not minoritys.. its your damn greed.

To the above poster. How is it greed? How is it the governments business? The constitution does not give the government the right to create a federal income tax.
