I am a nurse. I work in health care. I can tell you they do not pay for abortions. I'VE seen this with my own eyes. I worked at a clinic. I studied the WHOLE laws of nursing and what pays for what. I did 30 hours a week of school and 200 question quizzes (almost everyday). I graduated nursing with a 4.0 grade average. Well mostly, Bush made us the hated country. First off Bush was putting out more pollution than china when he was in office. Then bush also got our country in debt not from the war but stupidity. All these people sign for expensive houses that was beyond their pay check. The bill later came back to Bush asking if he could allow banks to rip people off like this. What did Bush do he sign the paper. Then Bush also went to war in the middle east looking for Al Qaeda. We go on a goose chase for a group of people that are nomads. So Bush declares war on the middle east. So we go to war and we mess up their tajs. We messt up a country that been in it ways doing things for civilizations and civilizations. The way they eat, dress, look, all of that is based on their religion. Their whole day revolves around praying at noon. Their whole day revolves around eating certain foods. Their whole day revolves around wearing certain clothes. When they fast to pray for their God they wont even drink their spit. They get up and spit in the sink. Now, just because one group of people who live all over the world. Bush says I want to find them.Next thing you know we are at war. We knocked down their Tajs. We Americanized and took over a country that's older than us. The people who lived their whole life there, and the way their ancestors did is now destroyed. Their never going to be peace their now. You cant change a country culture that's been their since Jesus was born. It is a hornets nest that will never sleep. Why is everyone blaming the government shutting down on Obama? FIRST, off Obama did not shut it down congress did which is mostly republicans. The republicans do not want to give money to women who get cancer scans. They say these scans saved million peoples lives who had cancer. They are saying it is about abortions the clinics offer abortions but they still have to pay for the abortions. The clinic that gives feel visits of the gynecologist well not pay for abortions but they do offer it there. They do pay for birth control pills, and pap smears. This saves lives and the birth control helps save the country money. I think a ten dollar pills are way cheaper than the government paying for a kid till he is 18 years old. THEY DONT EVEN PAY FOR ABORTIONS AT THE CLINICS. I work in health care. I just wish everyone could see, if you cut this program the pregnancy rates will go up. So many people in poor areas need to be educated in health care. The planning parents helps teach and educate them. It also, helps them learn about diseases how they are spread. It gives care to women who have cancer. A young teen girl sometimes can not afford insurance. If she gets cancer is it fair that she does not have the chance to live? All because she was born into a poor family.

A Christian Republican would probably say yes. I am an Atheist Liberal and I say no. Quality healthcare should be available for everyone. Little Red Hen, you are not as smart as you think. Medicaid can help after you are diagnosed. If you have no insurance before you are diagnosed you won't have preventative care and early detection of your cancer which will greatly increase your chances of beating it.

The same rant again, eh? If "she" gets cancer, I certainly hope her parents take her to a better clinic than "Planning Parents." Medicaid would cover her cancer care, though. By the way, you surely didn't graduate at the top of your class. I pray that I never end up in the hospital where you work. edit: Baxter. YOU are not as smart as YOU think. Years ago, a friend's baby needed surgery and they had no insurance. Guess who paid for it? A social worker at the hospital got them signed up ASAP for Medicaid. They even covered the back bills.

You haven't got a clue, have you? Planned Parenthood does pay for a lot of things... some of those funds goes to abortion. I support a woman's right to choose abortion; and a woman's right to use contraceptives; and a woman's right to govern her own body-- but with rights come responsibilities... if women are so smart and we have all these rights-- we should have a right to govern our own checkbook and our own decisions. How can you blame everything on Bush when he was in office but then alleviate Obama from responsibility from what happens when he was in office? You're a little liberal parrot, aren't you? No one has time to read your rant. I also work in health care and I can not justify the fact that we can deliver a baby at 21 weeks, and have it survive and grow up and yet permit abortion up to 30 weeks. People are blaming the Democrats for shutting down the government because they are arguing about the budget for the fiscal year 2011, which started October 1st, 2010. This budget should have been passed by last September, when the Democrats controlled everything.

She gets cancer. Millions of people die of cancer each year. Does that mean that I have to pay for it. Sounds cruel doesn't it. That's life. If I get cancer, I have health insurance. I've paid for it from my blood, sweat and tears for over 30 years service, along with millions of people like me who've worked their way through life, and made their own way. We don't depend on Government for anything. We'd like for them to just disappear. Why didn't SHE do that? I'll tell you why. Because she's a WELFARE RECIPIENT. She thinks she deserves to be TAKEN CARE OF. I make my own way. I have for over 30 years. Sure, I guess I could have taken the easy way out, and just sit on my butt, and asked AMERICA to pay for my CADILLAC, and my BLING, BLING. I choose not to be feeding off the Government TIT. Virtually all the answers I read were disgusting, I hope this is not a representative sample of Americans because I don't want to believe such a vast population of Americans are so cruel and stupid. Don't they see that their comments are in the service of big pharma and big private healthcare? Don't they see that their mainstream media is owned by huge powerful corporations and are constantly feeding the people with a perspective that is in the service of maintaining the plutocracy and corporate system, that their political representatives of both parties are in the pockets of lobbyists and no longer serve the people. Don't these idiots realize that these nonsensical wars are FAR more costly than budgets that would provide good healthcare, education and infrastructure, etc. for the people of America.
