Need a doc/nurse and info on cookie recall sold at walmart.?
My sister works in the claims dept at a local WalMart and she seen my 2 yr old son open his stocking this morning and pull out a Christmas cookie - she immediately told me to throw it away because they were recalled. She said she did not know any info on it other than it was recalled and they had to throw away numerous cases. The bad thing is I bought 2 of these at once and gave my son one which he ate and put the other in his stocking. My son has been sick for 2 weeks now and I have taken him to the doc twice as well as made numerous phone calls - he has had everything from a 102 fever to runny nose and now vomiting and diarrhea - thinking back now it has been about 2 weeks since he ate the cookie and the docs have not done anything other than a "look over" and have told me first it was an ear infection then croupe then a stomach virus now they are saying a roto virus - I just found out about this cookie thing today and being Christmas have not been able to talk to a doc but was trying to find any recall info on the cookie to see why and if it causes something then look up what it causes and match up the symptoms but I cannot find recall info anywhere on this particular product. I need help researching this as well as any info from a doc or nurse (a good one) - the fever started about 2 weeks ago and lasted a lil more than 24 hrs - then went away but all other symptoms have been coming and going - now the vomiting and diarrhea has lasted 5 days now with no other symptoms - I am keeping him hydrated and other than the puking and pooping (like melted peanut butter) he is fine - even playing in between but he has obviously lost weight and I am getting really worried - oh and he is sleeping A LOT for hours at a time - any help with recall info or sick info will be greatly appreciated - here is the product info - it is a Snowmad shaped cookie decorated as Frosty the Snowman - (tho the one he ate was Santa - there were many different designs) and it wrapped in clear plastic with air tight plastic again wrapped on the inside. It has a white and red ribbon tied in a bow on the stick where it meets the cookie and a green circle card board tag that on the front says "Holiday Cookie Net wt. 1.9 oz (55g) and nothing but a white back. The back of the cookie printed on the plastic says "Iced Sugar Cookie Lollipop" then ingrediants, followed by nutrition facts and an allergy warning for wheat, nuts, etc. It is distributed by SCM Designs out of Bentonville Ar. , made in China and the bar code is 813387010759 with a lot code of 00901. PLEASE HELP ASAP. (ps - i live in Arkansas and being that wal marts home base is in Bentonville Arkansas as well as SCM Designs - I think Wal-Mart may be the actual owner of the design company and may be the only carrier of this product.
